HCFA specializes in the electronic submission of bills,
medical reports and supporting documents to the Property
and Casualty Industry, specifically to Automobile,
No-Fault and the Workers' Compensation Insurance
Industry.
Industry costs for processing
Property and Casualty bills on average are as follows:
Clean bill with no missing information: $3.50-$5.00
Clean bill missing supporting documents: $5.00-$8.00
Incomplete bill missing data or documents: $10.00-$30.00
Bills received in an Insurance Carrier mailroom,
indexed, and scanned for offshore input are totally
dependent on the quality of the information provided and
if the supporting documents are provided.
HCFA currently blocks 20% of the bills
it receives initially. The responsibility for
correcting the issue is the Providers, significantly
reducing Insurance Carrier cost. HCFA will submit
bills in accordance with Insurance Carrier protocols,
requirements and requests which will enable the bill to
automatically populate an Adjustors Claim System.

check on the status of their bills submitted
